This gift wrapping technique is nothing new to Japanese shoppers in Isetan, a Japanese shopping center. A video of a clerk using this gift wrapping technique at incredible speeds has gone viral. Now, Youtuber BeatTheBush has studied this popular Japanese gift wrapping technique and has shown in his video how to do it.

In his video, BeatTheBush says that with practice, anyone can wrap a gift using this Japanese gift wrapping techniques in just thirty seconds. He even claims that if you've mastered this technique, you can wrap gifts in just fifteen seconds.

Here are the steps for the thirty-second Japanese gift wrapping technique:

Important Note: Use the right size of wrapping paper. The gift wrapper should be large enough to cover all the width of the gift. It should also be long enough to cover the gift's sides and height.

Step 1: On the gift wrapper, place the gift on a diagonal across the paper. Roll it to its side with the narrowest width.

Step 2: Using your index finger and thumb, fold the up one corner over the gift box. Also, fold the triangular-shaped flap created.

Step 3: Secure the folded part with a clear tape and repeat the process on the rest of the sides of the gift, sealing it with a clear tape along the way.

That's it! You should be able to wrap a gift using just one sheet of gift wrapper and three strips of clear tape. If you get a hang of it, you can wrap gifts in just thirty seconds or better yet, fifteen seconds if you master the gift wrapping technique!
