After getting discharged from mental health ward a few days ago, as teenager was found dead at the foot of a mill that was empty and badly injured.
An 18-year old, Dominic Adam Travis died on May 2015 after he claimed that he heard voices and wanted to meet God. His death inquiry showed how his family and supporters when raising questions, astounded on why mental health ward discharged him just a short time before his death.
Since 2013, the teenager was classified as a needy child. He lived in the accommodation supported and ran by the youth charity of homeless in Depaul, United Kingdom. As per support workers the teenager was a real potential and a youngster who turned out well and had been good, Manchester Evening News says.
A change in his mental health and manner was noticed by the staff in the January 2015. At that time, the staff knew that Dominic was using cannabis, addicted to cocaine and so called legal highs were taken by him on regular bases, heard the court.
He used to hear voices that told him his value is nothing and that he was scruffy, ugly and dirty. He is always careful about his looks. He became isolated greatly and didn't go to college., said Ms. Thomas.
Porter Street staff said before the court that they tried going beyond every barrier to get his support for the mental health requirements. He was found taking backward walk and the packets of the legal highs were found in his apartments and an ambulance was called on May 2017, Sunday, the Irish Times reported.
He was agitated and sweating and when he was to write down how he was feeling, he wrote "mum".When the metal workers arrived, Dominic ran out through the fire escape and jumped the fence over on the outside of Porter Street. The staff who chased him saw, saw him disappear at Manchester Road. He died on May 15 in the early hours from the injuries of traumatic brain.
