It looks like Rob Kardashian is done hiding. After reportedly holing up in his apartment for what seemed like months, the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star is now looking forward to a healthier and more fit lifestyle. Photographed taking part of a workout session with sister Kim Kardashian, Rob appears to be determined to lose all the unwanted pounds he gained while shunning the limelight.
"Rob knows that being as large as he is and not being in shape is really unhealthy and not good for his heart," reveals a source to Radar Online. The insider further revealed that Khloe Kardashian's younger brother is now looking into the possibility of going through gastric bypass surgery in an effort to "get the weight off." According to the source, Rob feels that the said procedure would be the "safest and easiest" route to achieving a more toned and healthier physique.
The source shared, "Food is Rob's vice right now and he is intent on beating this through whatever is necessary at this point." The insider added that gorging on food had been the go-to solution of the young Kardashian every time he comes face to face with a problem. With this in mind, the son of Kris Jenner failed to mind his calories and became overweight. His bloated physique eventually pushed him to stay away from the public's eye and hide in his home.
According to the US National Library of Medicine, gastric bypass surgery is a procedure that "helps you lose weight by changing how your stomach and small intestine handle the food you eat." After undergoing gastric bypass surgery, the patient's stomach will appear smaller. Moreover, the person will feel satiated with smaller meals. The site added, "The food you eat will no longer go into some parts of your stomach and small intestine that absorb food. Because of this, your body will not get all of the calories from the food you eat."
While this may seem to be an attractive solution to people seeking ways to lose weight, gastric bypass surgery is a major procedure which requires extensive research and preparation for potential risks. The US National Library of Medicine states that these effects could be considered "very serious," so a sit down with a reliable surgeon is necessary. These risks include allergic reactions to medicines, heart attack or stroke during or after the procedure and infections. After the surgery, a number of potential risks are also at stake such as blockage of the stomach or intestine and abdominal infection.
