Missing Woman Found Dead After Fleeing Estranged Abusive Husband Who Claimed He Did Not Kill Wife

The missing woman in Florida was believed to have been found by the authorities after they discovered a body late last week. The woman went missing after she went jogging along a Florida beach after fleeing from her estranged husband, who is accused of her death.

The husband, Jarvis Madison, is said to be abusive but he denied the accusations that he killed his wife, Rachael Madison. According to People, the remains were found in a remote area near a highway in Knoxville, Tennessee. The discovery was announced on Saturday but the identity of the remains was confirmed that it belonged to 44-year-old Rachael only on Monday.

Rachael Madison's husband, on the other hand, was arrested on Friday morning on an arrest warrant from Indiana State Police for criminal confinement charges. Authorities were able to acquire information leading them to the remains discovered.

Rachael went missing on Nov. 27 when she went for a jog along the beach in Ormond-by-the-Sea, Florida. An aunt of Rachael, Thelma Newsom, said that her niece moved to Florida days before she went missing to get away from Jarvis.

On Nov. 14, Jarvis reportedly held Rachael hostage at gunpoint and fired at her. The reason? Reports said he found out that she wanted to leave him. He also poured acid on a tattoo as well as on her neck at one point. Moreover, Rachael was said to be covered with scars as Jarvis has cut her with a knife.

Before Rachael vanished, Jarvis also called her and her family members and threatened that he would kill her if she did not come back. On the day that she went missing, Jarvis reportedly tried to call her again before she went for a jog. WLKY reported that the cellphone of Jarvis connected to multiple towers in Ormond Beach before Rachael went missing.

The couple was reportedly homeless and lived in motels in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. They also lived in the Jarvis; car, a 2011 silver Honda Pilot.

Charles P. Spencer, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Jacksonville Division, said that the thoughts and prayers from the FBI are with the family of Madison. He also assured that they will remain committed to providing answers regarding the matter.
