Between the two of them, Mariah Carey, 45, and her new beau, Australian billionaire James Packer, 47, have five children each. But a story suggests they could be adding a new baby to the brood.
"Mariah found out the baby news recently and they're overjoyed at the prospect of being parents," a source allegedly told New Idea, according to In Touch Weekly. "She adores James and it's well-known within her social circle that she would love to have children with him," the source went on to say.
The pair has only been together since June 2015, but a previous report from TMZ stated that marriage is already on the table.
The child will be one of the four heirs to the vast casino empire that Packer operates. The businessman has three other kids with his former wife, Erica Baxter. According to Mail Online, Packer's former family are based in Los Angeles. Mariah, on the other hand, has her four-year-old twins with ex-husband Nick Cannon.
However, a report from E! News reveals that the baby news is premature and not at all true.
The news outlet notes that Mariah didn't enjoy being pregnant back then. "Carrying two babies. Unless somebody's been through it, it's difficult to understand what I went through, because my pregnancy was very unique in terms of what happened to me," the pop diva told Barbara Walters in a 2011 interview, according to Today. "I had serious back problems...I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to walk properly again. It was a huge strain."
Meanwhile, as much as the star has her life being tracked by tabloids and paparazzi, Mariah has expressed she will never be doing any reality TV show, except for that one time when she was a judge on "American Idol."
"Today, you can be famous just from being on a reality... Well, doing... You don't really have to do much, but you kinda gotta do a lot," she said during an interview in Israel, according to Life & Style.
"And then your whole life is just about being a celebrity and that's what some people aspire to, because it's easy and because then everybody knows them and all they see is the bright side of fame," she added.
Mariah also said that having cameras around to follow her all the time is something the diva cannot handle.
