According to a press release via The Ring, Cotto is the "first native of Puerto Rico to become a world champion in four different weight classes."

BoxRec reports that 34-year-old Cotto, also known by the alias "Junito," has a record of 44 wins (with 33 KOs), four losses (with two KOs) and zero draws.

Another post from BoxRec states Mexican superstar Canelo, whose real name is Saul Alvarez, has a record of 45 wins (with 32 KOs), one loss and one draw. He is a former WBC and WBA Super Welterweight World Champion.

Recalling the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya told the Los Angles Daily News, "Millions of people were disappointed." However, this time around. De La Hoya guarantees "that nobody will be disappointed this time."

Although Canelo is reportedly younger and possessing a five-inch reach advantage against Cotto, the news site reports Cotto having Freddie Roach as his coach and a "slight wind at his back."

"Freddie revitalized my career," Cotto said Monday as the boxers began a press tour. "I came to Freddie with nothing on my hands after two defeats in a row. He got me back to where I used to be."

The Ring reports that the fight will be a 12-round showdown for the WBC and Ring Magazine Middleweight World Championships. The event will take place Saturday, November 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

The fight is presented by Roc Nation Sports, Golden Boy Promotions, Miguel Cotto Promotions and Canelo Promotions. It is sponsored by Corona Extra; Mexico, Live it to Believe it!; O'Reilly Auto Parts and Tequila Cazadores.
