‘Aquaman’ News & Updates: Who Will Join Jason Momoa? Synopsis Revealed [SPOILERS]

“Aquaman” just had a release date, as stated by Warner Bros. and DC Films. Starring Jason Momoa, it’s been recently revealed that the villain in the film is set to be Patrick Wilson.

Wilson will play Orm Curry, and will later be known as Orm Marius, who is the evil half-brother of Momoa in the film. Orm is also the Ocean Master who grew up in the shadows of his superhero brother.

The casting is also said to include Amber Heard, who will play as Mera. She is the former Queen of Dimension Aqua and the Queen of Atlantis, with Aquaman as her husband.

As for the synopsis of the film, it’s said that the character will be caught between the sea and under the sea Atlanteans. These worlds are said to be ready to revolt.

Here, the Ocean Master, Orm, comes in as he starts havoc in high sea. His ultimate goal is to dethrone his brother from being the King of Atlantis, Variety reports.

It can be recalled that “Aquaman” was first introduced in the 1940s. He is a DC comic superhero and is the son of Arthur Curry; half-human and half-Atlantean.

Nonetheless, there are still no concrete details of the plot or storyline of the film. The script of the movie has undergone a lot of drafts and revisions. However, James Wan aims to create an “Indiana Jones” kind of adventure for the character, Collider reports.

The “Aquaman” film will be the third time the fans will see the King of Atlantis after his cameo in “Batman v Superman.” The King will also have a proper introduction in the upcoming “Justice League” on 2017. Aside from this, “Justice League” will also introduce Vulko, portrayed by Willem Dafoe, and Mera.
