Apple Invite 2015: Event Confirmed For Sept. 9 [iPhone 6S Plus, iPad Pro, Apple TV Rumors]

For Apple fans who are waiting for the company's traditional fall iPhone launch, it looks like the waiting will soon be over. There are rumors that Apple will have an event next month, and it seems that it is true.

The multinational tech giant has been sending out invitations to the press for an event scheduled on Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. PST, according to The Verge. Apple seems to be expecting a lot of guests because they went for a massive venue. The event will be held at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, which has a 7,000-person seating capacity.

According to AppleInsider, the invitations for Apple's upcoming event were designed around its voice assistant technology, Siri, to which, according to CNET, gives a snarky response when the user asked for clues.

Among Siri's responses when asked for a hint about the Sept. 9 event is, "Why don't you check a rumor blog? That's what I do." She can also get cranky at times by giving responses like, "You'll have to wait until September 9. I bet you were one of those kids who snuck downstairs to open presents early, weren't you?" or "You're cute when you're desperate for information."

In another quip, she would say, "Look deep within yourself and you will find the answer. Especially on September 9," per AppleInsider.

She's even good at teasing users, saying, "I can neither confirm nor deny that I am not authorized either to confirm or deny that I cannot disclose anything that you would then have to confirm. In any case, I would deny it. Got it."

According to The Verge, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, which incorporate Force Touch technology. CNET stressed that the new iPhones may include a higher grade of aluminum casing to keep it from bending out of shape.

There are also rumors that the new smartphones will come with a dramatic camera upgrade. USA Today suggests that the new iPhones will feature a 12-megapixel camera capable of shooting 4k video. Since Siri was involved in the invite, there are possibilities that there will be an upgrade to the digital assistant.

There are also speculations that the company will reveal an impressive upgrade to its Apple TV set-top box, presenting a new hardware that will run on iOS 9 — the operating system for the iPhone and iPad. It will also come with an upgraded remote, which is equipped with a touch interface. According to Time, there's also a chance that Siri will be integrated into Apple TV.
