Does a perfect marriage or relationship exist or is it really ideal to think that one does exist? In a time where temptation is all around, how does one avoid it? The movie "A Kind of Murder" revolves around this theme and is set in the 1960s in New York City.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the movie "A Kind of Murder" focuses on the married life of an architect and crime novelist and his wife. As the husband obsesses with an unsolved mystery, his married life went spiraling downwards and lusts over a younger woman. As added by IMDb, the cat-and-mouse play with a clever killer and an overambitious detective spiked this downward spiraling of his relationship with his wife, Carla.
Having a bad married life or relationship is understandable but doing something in order to get out of it is worse. However, it is considered the worst if one thinks of killing his or her partner and taking action out of it in order to get what one wants out of lust, which the movie "A Kind of Murder" highlights in its one and half hour movie.
Playing the lead role of the husband is the horror-film actor Patrick Wilson, who starred in "Insidious" and "Conjuring" franchise, as Walter Stackhouse and Jessica Biel played the role of Walter's wife Clara Stackhouse. The movie "A Kind of Murder" also starred the Girl in the Train actress Haley Bennett, who is also known for her acting in "Music in Lyrics." Together with them are Vincent Kartheiser, Eddie Marsan, Corrie Danieley and many more.
Directed by Andy Goddard and written by Susan Boyd, the movie is an R-rated movie targeting fans of suspense and drama films. With its limited release last December 16, 2016, did the horror movie staple convinced moviegoers as a lustful and unfaithful husband? Find out who murdered Clara Stackhouse and watch "A Kind of Murder."
