Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s House Is Now Controlled By Artificial Intelligence [DETAILS HERE]

Jarvis is no longer just Tony Stark's artificial intelligence personal assistant in Marvel's movies, but it also now controls the house of Mark Zuckerberg. The Facebook CEO opens up his home and introduces Jarvis to the world for the first time.

Mark Zuckerberg built Jarvis as part of his 2016 challenges. Based on his Facebook post, Mark has built Jarvis in about 100 hours using existing Facebook tools. He claims that it is a simple artificial intelligence that could run his household devices through text and voice recognition even remotely when he is away from home.

Building Jarvis may have taken less time than people might have imagined, but it didn't come without its challenges. There are three things that Mark learned when building the artificial intelligence as pointed out by Time.

First, the CEO needed to connect all the devices in his home to the AI system so that Jarvis will be able to control all the appliances on command. In order to control their home remotely, building an AI on mobile devices is more practical as everyone carries a phone with them. Mark also learned that he favors text command over voice recognition to tell Jarvis what to do as he often uses it over the other.

Jarvis also has the ability to recognize faces at the Zuckerberg's gate. Aside from that the AI can also control the lighting, temperature and music in the house. It also has the ability to understand context, an important aspect that other AI's needs to develop further.

Personal assistants that uses AI is nothing new though. Some of AI apps and software includes Google Home, Amazon Echo and Apple HomeKit.

According to USA Today, it is still far from the Jarvis that people have seen in Iron Man. It may still take a long time for artificial intelligence to be available for every household as not all devices is capable of connecting to the Internet.
