The big Winter 2016 update of "Civilization 6" is released on PC today featuring new improvements and many more. Meanwhile, two more DLC packs are also released.
"Civilization 6" developer Firaxis posted in its blog about the details of the new patch. It features an all new standardized Earth map size which makes it easier for players to access various Scenarios from the main menu. Furthermore, enemy units have a new move called alert. The new move is said to be like the "Overwatch" command in "XCOM: Enemy Unknown", putting units to sleep so until an enemy is spotted.
The big Winter 2016 update of "Civilization 6" also gives gameplay tweaks, balance changes and bug fixes. Meanwhile, two new DLC packs could now be availed by players.
The first DLC is focused not only around Poland, but also on its leader Jadwiga. King Jadwiga was actually a woman but she was crowned as king because the title queen signifies the consort of a ruler. King Jadwiga known as Hedwig was the first female monarch of Poland.
On the other hand, the second DLC has a Viking theme. Both DLC packs have new playable Scenario costing $4.99 each. According to Gamespot, the last patch for "Civilization 6" was Fall 2016 update. The last big patch introduced two more maps as well as a new scenario. The new scenario of the Poland DLC is called Jadwiga's Legacy which requires players to defend Prague, Vienna and Poland from Teutonic and Turks knights.
On the other hand, PCGamesN recommended that if players are not interested with the new DLC, the big Winter 2016 update could be obtained for free featuring standardized Earth map size. Just like "Civilization 5", an alert state could wake all units automatically when enemies are on sight. Not to mention, Wonder movies can now be replayed with its new option.
