The new free patch for "Mafia 3" has been launched. It features new car customization options and racing mode.
2K games posted in its blog that car customization is the biggest request from fans of "Mafia 3". According to Gamespot, the new patch features 10 customization options allowing players to unlock six during a normal gameplay.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that three customization options with Family Kickback DLC are free for those who preordered "Mafia 3". Players who did not preorder the game can purchase the three customization options for $5. Griffin Marauder is a brand new car and it is also part of the customization options.
"Mafia 3" has 50 customization options. Players can customize their cars in any of the nine Big Rick's Garage location during the game. They can choose their own decals, exhaust, spoilers, wheels and superchargers.
The new update includes a racing mode. Currently, there are already 12 racing modes in "Mafia 3". The game has six circuit lap races and six point to point races. In order to unlock the races, players must sit down with three of the game's lieutenants. Race markers will thereafter appear, but players need to make sure that they are not chased by the police.
2K said that players who place high in races will have new customization options. If they ruled the race courses, they can also get Griffin Marauder. On the other hand, there are three additional outfits for the main character of "Mafia 3". It features Bad, Bad Mr. Burke, On the Prowl and the Classic. Players should link their My2K account to "Mafia 3" to get the II Duca revolver.
Take-Two is 2K's parent company and it revealed that "Mafia 3" shipped 4.5 million copies in its first week. This sets a new record for 2K. "Mafia 3" shows a classic car chase film of the late 60's and early 70's according to PC games.
