Witnesses opened up about the efforts they made to save the lives of the mother and child. Two women escaped the house while Alina Kordaszewska and her daughter Emilia were trapped inside the house when the fire broke out.
Neighbors reported that screams could be heard from their houses as the mother and daughter desperately tried to escape from the window but failed. Police are still trying to investigate why the house caught fire.
As BBC News reports, Emilia's fellows and mates from her school were deeply saddened by her death. Her teachers described her as a very good student who was always active in the class and cooperated well with the class in her beginning years.
Emilia's friends have arranged a fundraising website for her family and are trying to raise up to 5,000 euros. On the website, it was written that on Wednesday 21 December, her friend's house caught fire, which is a terrible thing to have happened so close to the day of happiness, Christmas.
The duo tried to get out of the house and to safety but failed as not all of them survived. Her 18-year-old sibling and father were left with nothing, in front of their eyes they saw their belongings and house burning, their family dying but couldn't do anything to save them. The father and Emilia's sister Milena are
with the police.
As The Telegraph tells, Milena also survived the fire. People from the neighborhood state that when they heard noises, they came out of the houses and saw people breaking the front window, trying to save them but failed.
People linked with the family and from the neighborhood are deeply saddened by the incident and sent their condolence to the half remaining family. They described this event as horrifying and terrible.
