"Nier: Automata'"s playable demo was released today at the PlayStation Store. The demo looks and feels amazing, the controls and action are very fluid." Nier: Automata" could possibly become one of 2017's most anticipated games.
The story of "Nier: Automata" takes place in a distant future plagued with machines brought by invaders from another world. Humans during this time were forced out of Earth and are taking refuge at the moon headed by the Council of Humanity. A resistance of Android soldiers was being sent to Earth's barren landscape in an effort to take back the planet. The player takes control of an Android called YoRHa No.2 Type B who's equipped with a blade and a "POD" tactical support system.
"Nier: Automata" is a very big improvement from the first Nier video game which was poorly received by gamers and critics alike. The first "Nier "was criticized due to its graphical presentation and gameplay. "Nier "is a combination of different fighting styles which was said to have been executed poorly by the developers." Nier's" sidequests were also criticized for redundancy. On the plus side, "Nier" was praised for its characters and storyline, Seth Schiesel of the New York Times, states that the "Provocative" and "Profound" story of "Nier " "succeeds at fostering an emotional investment in its characters and in its world".
"Nier: Automata'"s demo is the whole opposite of Nier. The demo is gaining very positive comments and reviews from some of the gaming industry's biggest names like Kotaku and The Verge, who published positive feedbacks for the game.
"To fix Automata's combat, Square Enix enlisted the help of Platinum Games, the studio behind renowned action experiences like "Bayonetta" and "Vanquish." And like the developer's previous work, combat in Automata has a very specific and intuitive sense of flow, according to the Verge's article. This collaboration explains the fluidity of "Nier: Automata's" combat structure which is very fast and fluid.
