According to iDigitalTimes, the first scene features the human squad better known as Fireteam Osiris being briefed on their mission. They were being called to rescue a doctor from the Covenant. In a blog post, Josh Holmes revealed that "Halo 5: Guardians" is committed to cooperative campaign at a fundamental level. "This creative pillar has influenced many decisions throughout the game's technology and design. While you can still expect the same great single-player experience that Halo campaigns have been known for, engaging in co-operative play gives the campaign a new level of depth and richness," he wrote.

He also revealed that the upcoming game has two distinct modes of play, which are solo and co-operative; each has its own separate save file. With the co-op session, one can control the leader of each Fireteam and invite friends to join the session. Any achievements, collectibles or skulls unlocked during the session will be given to all the players present during the said session. For players who wanted to leave the game in co-op mode they can simply drop-out without interrupting the others because the AI will take over.

Unfortunately, the team decided to remove split-screen support for "Halo 5: Guardians" they admitted that the decision was difficult, but explained "our decision was driven by a desire for scale, fidelity and focus to ensure that we would deliver the best quality experience possible."

"Halo 5: Guardians" will be released on Oct. 27 to Xbox One.
