2017 is just a few days away and if there is one thing that folks can look forward to is the impressive line-up of movies that will be released in the coming year. One film to watch out for is the sixth chapter of the "Alien" series, the "Alien: Covenant" which stars Guy Pearce, Michael Fassbender, and Noomi Rapace. Based on the recently released official trailer, this suspense movie has the potential to be the most terrifying horror film of 2017.
Apparently, Fox chose to release the trailer of the sci-fi thriller on the night of Dec. 24 as it serves as a Christmas treat to fans as posted in Review Journal. The two minutes and 14 seconds trailer though is far from jolly since it features creepy and disturbing scenes that shock the viewers.
One scene shows a snake-like creature crawling onto a leg of a naked woman who is making love in the shower. Another cringeworthy scene is a man with something coming out of his back. The dark trailer is filled with screams and suspense that it would be no surprise if this will be declared the scariest film of 2017.
The sci-fi thriller, "Alien: Covenant" follows the story of space crew members onboard a spaceship called Covenant. This team will soon discover that the territory they thought was uninhabited is actually an area full of dangerous monsters. This film is actually the second part of "Prometheus" which serves as a prequel to the "Alien" series as reported in High Snobiety.
Aside from the actors that are back from the "Prometheus" movie, new cast members of this Ridley Scott film are Danny McBride, James Franco, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, and Demain Bichir. Catch the first showing date of "Alien: Covenant" in theaters on May 19, 2017.
