Star Rachel Bilson named her daughter after a Disney character—the original sleeping beauty, Briar Rose.
US weekly reports that while promoting his upcoming faith-based film "90 Minutes in Heaven," Hayden Christensen, Bilson's husband, explained why she named her baby girl after the character.
"There's a Disney reference there I suppose," said 34-year-old Christensen in an interview with hosts Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare. "The original Sleeping Beauty is called Briar Rose. Rachel—we both love Disney—but Rachel especially was very keen on the name."
Entertainment website Defamer adds Christensen said that it's all fun and good. "We have Disney songs playing around the house 24/7," he said.
Kate Bosworth, Christensen's co-star in the 90 Minutes film, said: "Rachel is such a little Disney princess. I love her."
Entertainment Online reports that Christensen and Bilson have been dating since 2007, and in 2014 had their first child.
Christensen and Bilson, also 34, have privately settled into parenthood since the coming of their baby girl. Earlier this month, however, the happy mom instagrammed a photo of the little princess spending fun time with her happy (and famous) dad.
Christensen said during the show that he has been renovating a farm and an old century home for the last few years, which shows his love for architecture. However, the little girl Briar still has to pet the farm animals.
"My daughter has seen them from afar. We don't let her get too close, but she's seen the sheep and seen the chickens run by," Christensen explained. "She's not of age yet."
According to US weekly, Christensen initially starred in Canadian television shows, and has received acclaim when he appeared in Fox Family Network's "Higher Ground" TV series in 2000. He also received a Golden Globe nomination for his role in "Life as a House" in 2001. He secured a place in Hollywood when he played Anakin Skywalker in 2002's "Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones."
He is also reported to have been linked to other stars such as Natalie Portman and Sienna Miller in the past.
Rachel Bilson, the entertainment site reports, is most famous for her role as Summer Roberts on "The O.C.," a teen drama. She entered the movie scene through appearances in 2006's "The Last Kiss" and 2008's "Jumper." She is noted for her past relationship with Adam Brody, which ended in 2006.
