Living in an era of superheroes, childhood favorites such as Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman from the DC Comics are popping in and out of the small and big screens. With high-quality production and Computer-generated imagery or CGI, viewers are able to imagine that these shows and movies could really exist in real life. Included in this type of shows is the upcoming series "Powerless."
Ever wondered what happens to the offices, roads, stores and cars destroyed during the fights scenes of the heroes and the villains? Well, in real life, one could claim insurance for the damages of one's property. The plot of the series "Powerless" revolves around this. According to IMDb, viewers could now imagine how an insurance company deals with destruction left by DC Superheroes through the upcoming series.
Watch how Emily Locke, lead character of the series "Powerless" played by High School Musical Star Vanessa Hudgens, works for an insurance company and gets fed up with the superheroes living in her city for destroying and creating havoc in her normal life, added by Rotten Tomatoes. To further her dismay, her new boss, who is the son of the CEO, is a pain in the behind as he wants to short-change the victims of destruction by denying their claims.
The series "Powerless" is created by Ben Queen, creator of the 2007 TV Series Drive and 2014-2015 TV Series A to Z. Together with Hudgens in the series are Twilight Saga actress Atlin Mitchell (playing the role of Crimson Fox), Danny Pudi (as Locke's officemate) from the TV Series Community, Alan Tudyk (playing Locke's new Boss) who is known as the voice of the Duke of Weaselton from the Disney hit movie "Frozen," and many more.
With a popular cast, will the series "Powerless" have the power to hit with ratings or will it be, as what it's title says, powerless among the DC Comics fans? Watch the comedy series this 2017 with its first episode set to air on February 2.
