Blake Lively's Baby Inspires $860 Handbag, Star Designed & Named Baby Bag After Daughter James [Photo]

On top of her movie commitments and taking care of her eight-month-old daughter, James, with husband Ryan Reynolds, actress Blake Lively manages the lifestyle brand Preserve. The brand's latest endeavor has the actress designing a new handbag, which she lovingly named after, who else, but her daughter.

The custom-made baby bag, James, is a collaboration with Sandast, a modern vintage shop that specializes in handcrafted goods. The handbag is already listed on Blake's lifestyle site for $860 a pop. The selection comes in two shades, one in sleek cognac and the other in dusty blue.

The James handbag is made from premium leather, according to People Style Watch. It measures about 16 inches long and 13 inches high and comes with a plaid lining on the inside, according to US Weekly. Mail Online also reported that the bags are especially "hand-distressed."

Back in May, Blake made her entrance to fashion designing official when she unveiled her first collection, a 12-piece set, in collaboration with a women's clothing brand Amour Vert. "Blake is very knowledgeable when it comes to color composition, styling and garment construction," said Amour Vert cofounder and CEO Christoph Frehsee in a press release, according to Elle. "She has a fantastic eye and attention to detail," said cofounder and creative director Linda Balti.

Before she became a fashion designer, the former star of "Gossip Girl" has always been the toast of fashion magazines for her style. In July 2014, Blake launched Preserve to feature not only her collections but also stories on food, fashion, trendy scenes and places. "Preserve is a creative space. An indulgent space. A space for pleasure and fun. But also a space for knowledge. A space that honors both tradition and innovation - a space that honors the future, while having a love affair with the past..." she said, according to Mail Online.

She's hoping to pass down her love for fashionable things to her daughter and admitted that even when she was still single, she already started collecting items she plans to give to her children one day. "They're never going to want it, but that's why I'm happy to have had a girl because I have a lot of things I've been hoarding with the excuse to pass it down to her," she said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The actress, who recently starred in "The Age of Andaline" will soon begin filming a Woody Allen movie, which will be released in 2016.
