‘Nier Automata’s’ New Gameplay Demo Shows More Features Under The Hood

Square Enix is busy updating the information about their newest RPG, "Nier: partAutomata." The development company has released a new trailer that features the gameplay features of the upcoming action RPG.

The trailer was presented by the game's creative director Taro Yoko, producer Youke Saito, lead game designer Takahisa Taura, game designer Isao Negishi and voice actress Keiko Isobe. The first part of the presentation demonstrated how the game runs on the "very hard" setting. The trailer also introduced the resistance leader named Anemone. One of the most exciting parts of the demo is the introduction of the Plug-in Chip system that can either be purchased or dropped by the enemy. These chips allow the player to customize and enhance the performance of the game's main character. Examples of these enhancements were shown during the gameplay wherein the main character's sensors were overclocked making it looked like the time has slowed down. The demo presentation also showcased 2B's warp abilities which resemble "Final Fantasy XV's" warp attack feature, according to DualShockers.

"Nier: Automata" is scheduled for release in Japan for PS4 in February 23. It will also be available in North America on March 7 and in Europe on March 10. A PC version will also be announced later next year. Merchandise of "Nier: Automata" were also featured in the demo. The game will come with full PS4 Pro support running at 60fps.

"Nier: Automata" is shaping up to be one of 2017's most anticipated games. Square Enix's release of the demo has helped a lot in building "Nier: Automata's" rapport towards the gaming community. Even though the first installment was highly criticized due to the different issues, "Nier: Automata" tends to correct the previous mistakes. Nier: Automata showcased what should have been the vision of "Nier's" development team from the start. It is no doubt that "Nier: Automata" will soon take its place among the best sequels in gaming history.
