The "Red Dead Redemption 2" merchandise has been distributed to retailers earlier this week. This is going to be another form of a teaser from Rockstar and it confirms that the game will really be coming out sometime next year.
According to the Red Dead Redemption 2 website, posters and cardboard displays of the upcoming game displayed a different launch date which is Autumn a little contradicting that what was posted during its announcement which was Fall 2017. Not all of the retailers received the promotional materials, the images which are currently circulating the web are said to be from the UK which refers to Fall as Autumn. Another thing that proves this Is the rating printed on the side of the poster which was PEGI 18, the rating system used by the UK.
Rockstar has been very quiet about this project. There is currently only one trailer available for the upcoming game providing only bits and pieces of the game's general information which the gaming community already knows about. "Red Dead Redemption 2" is considered to be an overdue sequel already due to its six-year gap from the first game.
The first installment was released in 2010 and was considered as one of the best western games of all time. "Red Dead Redemption" follows the same principle utilized by the Grand Theft Auto Franchise. The game's protagonist, John Marston is equipped the notorious dead eye aim system that slows down time giving the player an opportunity to mark down his targets. The marked targets will then be executed the main character. "Red Dead Redemption" also features a multiplayer option for up to 16 players.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" has a lot of ground to cover in order to match the success of its predecessor. This could also be the reason why Rockstar games have been very quiet about the current development status of the game.
