Beverley Mitchell Gives Birth

Beverley Mitchell is a new mama. The 32-year-old singer-actress and husband Michael Cameron welcomed their first child, a baby girl, Thursday, March 28. The new arrival, Kenzie Lynne Cameron, weighed 5 pounds and 15 ounces at birth.

The proud mom confirmed the news to People magazine. "We have fallen instantly in love and can't wait to be the best parents we can to our beautiful little angel," Mitchell told People. "Thank you for all the love and well wishes. Mom, Kenzie and Dad are settling in perfectly!"

Mitchell, who is best known for her role as Lucy Camden-Kinkirk in the television series "7th Heaven", got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Cameron in 2005. The couple tied the knot in 2008. After four years of married life, the couple announced expecting their first child in November 2012.

"Can't wait to share this journey with you. We are so thrilled to becoming parents. It couldn't be a more exciting time!" Mitchell wrote. "Thank you for all the well wished!"

In March, the mom-to-be celebrated her pregnancy with a baby shower. Friends and family members of the expecting parents reached the spot to be a part of their happiness.

"This whole experience has been more than I could have ever imagined. The women in my life have shown up for me and my little one and surrounded me with such love and support that I have no doubt that I can do this, because I know that I will have help from my amazing friends and family," Mitchell said on a blog written for People magazine, while acknowledging the love of her near and dear ones.

The actress, who used to pen down her pregnancy experiences through blogs, admitted that pregnancy brought her more close to her husband.

"Trough out this entire process, I have fallen more deeply in love with my husband. Michael has not only been my rock, my champion, my hero, he has also been the most incredible man I could have ever asked for," she wrote, days before giving birth.
