Lindsay Lohan just made "Mean Girls" fans the happiest as she revealed that she has been pushing for a "Mean Girls 2." The actress said in a recent interview that she already has a treatment for the sequel.
The 30-year-old actress, who has been based in London for years now, sat down with CNN for a Facebook Live chat on Thursday. She said that she has been trying so hard to do a "Mean Girls 2" but the decision is not up to her. She added, "I know Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels and all of the Paramount [Pictures] are very busy. But I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it."
Lohan continued to reveal that she has done some writing for the sequel she wants to happen. A number of famous Hollywood stars were on her mind for "Mean Girls 2." She revealed that she would love to have her "Freak Friday" co-star Jamie Lee Curtis on it as well as late-night talk show host Jimmy Fallon in the flick. She said that she needs a response for the treatment she has prepared, E! News reported. She also noted that she knows Mark Waters, the director of "Mean Girls," would be happy to direct the sequel if it will really be pushed.
Rachel McAdams, who played the role of Regina George, said she is interested in doing "Mean Girls 2" if Fey would be back. Daniel Franzese, who played Damian, also tweeted to Lohan asking for a sequel, Entertainment Weekly reported.
The cast of "Mean Girls" reunited for their 10th anniversary in 2014. Fey said during that time that she believed there was no reason that a sequel of the famous flick will be made. It is unclear if Fey has changed her mind about the matter.
