Miss Universe 2016 At Thick Of Preparations; Street Dwellers Are Purposely Taken Out Of Streets Of Manila? [DETAILS HERE]

The Miss Universe 2016 is at thick of preparations as it is barely a month before the live broadcast on Fox. Miss Universe 2016 are scheduled to start arriving on Jan. 12, 2017 to officially start the activities leading up to the pageant night.

In connection to this, preparations are underway to make the Miss Universe 2016 a success. This includes ensuring that candidates and pageant organizers alike are treated with the best the Philippines can offer.

The Miss Universe 2016 will not only be held in Manila, but it is a nationwide affair. Activities are scheduled all over the country to showcase the beauty of its host country, and at the same time avert the already worst traffic conditions in the nation's capital.

As added by As added by CNN Philippines, the Miss Universe 2016 candidates will arrive on Jan. 13 and will be toured around different places of the country such as Davao, Cebu, Vigan, Bicol and Palawan. This is according to the Philippines Tourism Secretary, Wanda Teo.

It is then quite noticeable that Manila street dwellers are rescued and kept in shelters. This may be the government's initiative to help rehabilitate and provide livelihood to the homeless. However, many think otherwise.

Many speculate that such street dweller rescuing is definitely a part of Miss Universe 2016 preparation. According to ABS-CBN News, the homeless were picked up from the vicinity of Manila City Hall and Baywalk along Roxas Boulevard which is less than 30 minutes drive from the pageant's venue in Mall of Asia Arena.

A source said that the rescue operations is definitely part of the Miss Universe 2016 presentation. Apparently, this also happened the same time Pope Francis visited the country Jan. 2015 and also as APEC Summit was held Nov. 2015.

It is the third time the Philippines will be hosting the Miss Universe pageant. The first was 1974 where Ampara Munoz of Spain won and the second 20 years later in 1994 where Sushmita Sen of India won the coveted crown.

The Miss Universe 2016 is definitely a worldwide spectacle. This is also a much-awaited event in the Philippines, being known as the biggest fans of the pageant. It doesn't come as a surprise that all measures are taken to present the country the best way possible to the whole world even if it takes taking street dwellers out of the streets.
