The movie which had its nationwide release on Dec. 21, 2016 proves that it may not have been good to watch before Christmas. The movie "Assassin's Creed" is arguably better made than most video games adaptations but unfortunately, the end result was rather disappointing, lacking in several aspects.

From the data of Metacritic, out of 36 reviews for the movie "Assassin's Creed," 18 had negative reviews, 16 had mixed feelings about the movie and a measly four having positive reviews. Many find it as a disappointing movie and they prefer to just enjoy it as a video game instead.
