Talks about a "Will & Grace" revival seems to have gotten more fruitful over the holidays as a guest star revealed that plans are actually starting to roll. Leslie Jordan spilled details to what he knows about the development as star Megan Mullally teased by posting a "Will & Grace" cast photo.
While everyone was preparing for New Year's celebration, Leslie Jordan dropped a bombshell about "Will & Grace" being set to return to production for a 10-episode revival on NBC. Speaking with a radio program on KPBS, the actor categorically stated that the "Will & Grace" revival will be coming in the next TV season (2017-2018).
He further said that NBC has already ordered 10 episodes and will begin production in July. Jordan has been a guest on "Will & Grace" several times playing Beverley Leslie, Karen Walker's frenemy.
NBC has not confirmed the actor's statement, but revival talks have been surfacing since the cast briefly got together to film a 10-minute segment of "Will & Grace" about the elections. On the other hand, "Will & Grace" star Megan Mullaly (Karen Walker) replied to the latest buzz created by Jordan by teasing fans with a photo of the cast on her Twitter.
In early December, Mullally gave an ambiguous answer when pressed about the "Will & Grace" revival. "It's not happening right this second. I mean, we're not rehearsing or anything like that," she told Entertainment Weekly. "But there is a very good chance that something is going to materialize," she added.
Co-star Debra Messing (Grace) and Eric McCormack (Will) were also asked about a potential "Will & Grace" revival in September via The Hollywood Reporter. Both stars agree that it could happen especially with the shifting standards of television with shorter episodes, limited series, special events series and streaming platform.
All that's missing now is an official confirmation from NBC. Meanwhile, check out the special 10-minute episode that the four stars of "Will & Grace" released that started this whole revival talk below.
