Atlantic City is currently testing what could be their latest venture which involves video game machines. This project will incorporate several video game, genre into the gambling scene.
This venture was initiated after Las Vegas got the approval of Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval who signed the bill which will allow the innovation and advancement of gaming products. According to an article by Two Left Sticks, Atlantic City has been struggling to stay relevant. This gamble by Atlantic City resulted in a partnership with GameCo which is a pioneering new company that focuses on the infusion of skill-based video games with real money casino.
GameCo's new machines are said to give gamblers a "45-second, skill-based experience on the casino floor." GameCo will feature a wide array of playable video game machines which ranges from racing, FPS, fighting, MOBA, sports, puzzle, match 3, and hidden objects. The VGM or Video Game Machine, will feature Single Player / Multiplayer World, Player's Skill Determines Payout, Same "Return To Player" As Slots, Runs On Existing Slot Platforms and Built Under GLI #11 v2.1 Standards.
The flagship title of the company is called "Danger Arena" which was shown in the Global Gaming Expo last September 2016. "Danger Arena" is currently available in Atlantic City already, a video uploaded by I7esperado shows the gameplay of the gambling machine which can be controlled using a specially designed joystick. The game pays the player as he gets better according to the uploader. The downside of the game is that sometimes there isn't enough robots to kill or shoot in the arena.
