UFC champ Ronda Rousey as accepted a date to the Marine Corps Ball after Marine Jarrod Haschert offered up a proposal to his celebrity crush.
On August 22, U.S. Marine Haschert uploaded a 34-second video of himself confessing his admiration to the superstar athlete and proceeded to ask her to the annual Marine Corps Ball.
According to Yahoo! TV, the video, which went viral, saw the Marine saying, "You are my celebrity crush, like, I love everything you do and I think that you are a phenomenal person, which is why it would be my honor to take you to the Marine Corps Ball on December 11th," said Haschert in the video. "I really hope this doesn't get in the way of your training ... but I hope you take this in consideration, because if you do, you will truly be making my dream come true."
Answering Haschert's prayers, in a video posted by TMZ, the undefeated mixed martial arts star accepted his invitation. "I was like, I can't go anyway because I'm in camp, but the fight got moved so I actually can go, but I don't know how to hit him up and say, like, 'Yeah, I wanna go with you!'" said the 28-year-old. "Yeah I would totally go, for sure. ... It's a yes."
When asked if he thinks something could be in the air, Rousey quickly admitted she thought he was "cute" but also made sure to say it will all boil down to whether the Marine is a gentleman. She added, " I'm not a first date kind of girl but I don't know, we'll see when I meet him."
Ronda Rousey's Next Fight
Following a dominant win against Berthe Correia that took all of 34 seconds during the first round of UFC 190, according to The Star Phoenix, Rousey's next fight has been confirmed.
Rousey's next UFC fight will showcase the female champ going up against Holly Holm during UFC 193. Rousey who holds a record of 12-0 will chase down her seventh title defense against Holm, who stands with a 9-0 record.
Ronda is at the top of her game with an unblemished UFC record, a number of movie appearances and endorsements. She has become one of the most recognized female athletes in history and is scheduled to appear in the Peter Berg-directed action movie titled, "Mile 22."
