‘Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’ Preorder DLC Out Now Free For Everyone On All Platforms

In a very unexpected move, Square Enix released the latest DLC that was solely preorder-based for "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided." The content entitled "Augmented Covert Agent Pack" is out now for all players who already own the game on all platforms for free.

Included in the latest DLC for the action role-playing game from Square Enix are a newly-skinned pistol and combat rifle, compilation of skins for protagonist Adam Jensen's armor and trench coat, and extra in-game mission entitled "Desperate Measures," and a few extra consumables. Three digital books attached to the DLC are also included, the Deus Ex: Hard Line novella written by James Swallow, a mini artbook, and a mini comic entitled "The Dawning Darkness."

VG247 reported that for PC gamers, v1.12 build 667.0, a new patch, is available for download via Steam. The patch promises to fix a few critical and minor issues. This is inclusive of fixing some crash issues occurring with specific save files from users, fixing an issue where the weapon inventory bar glitches such as not saving online, and the Quit Game option is now aligned with other menu options.

The report furthered that in case there are problems with the latest patch for "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided," a beta build is available. The use of up-to-date AMD or Nvidia drivers is highly suggested by developers, too.

The latest content for "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" will automatically update once players boot up the game on Steam. Meanwhile, for PS4 and Xbox One players, the "Augmented Covert Agent Pack" can be downloaded from PSN and Xbox Marketplace, respectively.

"Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" launched on Aug. 23, 2016. And currently the game is available on Xbox One, PS4, Windows, Linux and even Macintosh OS, according to GameRant.

Initially, Square Enix announced the DLC "Augmented Covert Agent Pack" solely on a preorder basis. They pushed fans of "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" to preorder the game and also attempted to provide incentives when ordering early such as a set of digital add-ons that would be bundled for free. But this received a mostly negative response, so the company instead canceled the preorder program.
