Actor Jason Momoa talks about Aquaman's appearance in the upcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie, as an answer to the questions thrown at him.
Fans of DC Comics universe, good news as the upcoming movie "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is expected to be released on March 25, 2016, and will showcase four of the seven in the justice league.
One of the four characters to appear in the said movie is the king of Atlantis Aquaman, who will be played by Jason Momoa. Momoa is known for his role as Khal Drogo in HBO's Game Of Thrones.
Momoa expressed delight in playing the role. "A lot of things are very black and white... Earth is 71 percent water, so I get to represent that. And I'm someone who gets to represent all the islanders, not some blond-haired superhero. It's cool that there's a brown-skinned superhero."
ScreenRant reports that people have been asking various questions about Aquaman at the Fan Expo Canada. Momoa answers.
Momoa said that regarding Aquaman's fit into the DC Comic Universe, it will be "amazing." When asked as to whether Aquaman will be a "chill" character in comparison to the Kryptonian Superman or the equally serious Batman, Momoa said: "I can't see me busting out a bunch of jokes. I mean, I don't think it'll be like that."
Momoa was also asked if he will be bringing with him any element from any of his past roles to Aquaman.
"I don't think Aquaman's going to be raping and pillaging any villages," Momoa jokingly replied, in reference to his character in GOT.
Lastly, when asked about his responses to the fish jokes that were made about Aquaman, Momoa replied:
"You know, it's cute and funny, I mean people make fun of him and there's a bunch of jokes about him. But I'm like 'Well... just wait. Let's just wait a little bit. And then we can make jokes...'"
Circulating fish jokes about Aquaman were cut as a reveal of his costume design was shown—modernized, and with some Polynesian culture added to it.
Dawn of Justice is set as a follow-up to Man of Steel. Henry Cavill returns as Superman after the events that marked the start of his journey as Superman. Batman, played by Ben Affleck, comes in and holds Superman accountable. This forms the partnership that becomes the foundation of what will soon be the Justice League.
