'X-Men Apocalypse' Cast & Plot: Oscar Isaac Hints Character Details of Villain Apocalypse, Quicksilver Back With An Important Role [Rumors]

Soon "X-Men" fans will get to witness another movie packed with action when "X-Men: Apocalypse" hit the big screens.

However, while its released date is still months away there is a continuous hype about the upcoming flick. The recent reports involve Oscar Isaac, who plays the titular supervillain in the film.

In an interview with Paste, Isaac admitted that he was a fan of "X-Men" in particular Apocalypse. He is excited to explore those worlds. However, he revealed that the character is a challenge for him because he will be playing God.

According to ScreenRant, Apocalypse is the most powerful villain in the history of "X-Men" and Isaac is very intense in playing the role, which made him standout compared to the franchise's previous villains like Magneto and William Stryker.

In another interview with Indiewire, the "Ex Machina" star was asked what he learned and took away from his experiences while filming "X-Men: Apocalypse."

"With 'X-Men' it was great because there's an embodiment of such big ideas; you're not working in the realm of naturalism. And just because something's natural doesn't mean that it's interesting—and I think Kubrick knew that very well," he said.

Isaac added that he enjoys pushing his performance in other places similar to Greek tragendy or the kabuki kind of way. "You have these forms that express more than just an individual's personality. And that's been really fun to play with in 'X-Men.'"

On the other hand, there were reports claiming that Quicksilver will return in the film with a bigger role. According to MoviePilot, there will be a lot of father-son bonding between Quicksilver and Magento in the upcoming epic. So what will be his role?

The report suggests that Quicksilver will redeem his father who will side with the god-like supervilain. Magneto, who has impressive skills in manipulating metals wishes to be rewarded with even greater power and this prompted him to be one of "Apocalypse's" Four Horsemen.

Director Bryan Singer revealed that Quicksilver will be part of the superhero team. However, when asked if he will be staying to the end, Singer gave an intriguing reply, "we'll just have to see what happens."

In an earlier report with IGN, screenwriter Simon Kinberg already revealed that they wish to use Quicksilver in the next "X-Men" movie and expand his role. "Hopefully we can do more some unique things with his powers, and go a little deeper with the character too," Kinberg said.

"X-Men: Apocalpyse" premieres on May 27, 2016.
