It looks Nick Jonas is heading towards a bigger and brighter future. Sources claim that the former crooner from Disney's Jonas Brothers band is set to follow the footsteps of yet another ex-member of a teeny bopper group, Justin Timberlake - that is, if the prediction of rapper Jay Z is to be believed. With the fame of the youngest Jonas skyrocketing as of late, the notion is definitely not that farfetched. Apart from the success of his comeback single, "Jealous," a song he reportedly dedicated to former girlfriend and Miss Universe queen Olivia Culpo, Nick is rumored to be collaborating soon with another queen: Queen Bey.
"Jay Z is always a forward thinking businessman," shared a source to Hollywood Life. The insider went on to say, "And [he] always wants to be on the cutting edge of music, business and anything else that will make him the entrepreneur that he is - and his next project is Nick Jonas." Apart from seeing the potential of the former Disney star, the source disclosed that Jay Z has a lot of promising plans in store for Nick. The insider said, "He wants to record with him and he wants Beyonce to record with him. He sees Nick as the next Justin Timberlake."
The idea of Nick transforming into the smooth and sexy Timberlake could definitely become a possibility especially with Jay Z helming the change. As previously reported by numerous media outlets, the rapper has a good and steady professional relationship with the hubby of Jessica Biel. In fact, the two have collaborated in the past and produced hit singles that topped the charts almost instantly. These songs include "Holy Grail" and "Suit and Tie." With the massive appeal of Nick and his influence in the generation of today, the possibility of the former Disney star dancing and singing in a suave ensemble will surely get his fans and followers lining up for concerts.
Meanwhile, Nick's name once again emerged in the news in relation to his rumored romance with another Disney star: Selena Gomez. When the Jonas Brother crooner dropped a sample of his new single in Sound Cloud, titled "Area Code," fans of the then couple immediately made the connection to Gomez's "Good For You." According to New York Daily News, the words that prompted fans to believe that the song might be referencing his former Disney flame include "You say I never been good for you, you can't deny I gave it good to you."
At the moment, both Nick and Gomez have yet to comment on the rumor.
