Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have reportedly put their divorce on hold. Sources say the co-parents are giving their marriage another shot after a two-year separation.
Garner, 44, was the one who called off the divorce with Affleck, also 44. A source confirmed to People she wants to work it out with the father of her kids. Since their separation, the two have been co-parenting Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5.
The source also clarified the pair made the mutual decision to not divorce for now, igniting chances for reconciliation. It's still unclear, however, if the couple are officially back together, except no one is filing any divorce papers at this point.
"They love each other," the source said. "They also really, really love their kids, and those kids love their parents."
After announcing their separation in the summer of 2015, Affleck and Garner continued to live on the same property, as per Huffington Post. The shared arrangement allowed the Hollywood stars to co-parent their kids, including going on vacations together like a regular family. In fact, the family celebrated their youngest son's birthday at their Los Angles home last February among a few guests.
"Ben has been putting in a lot of work to better himself, and become the father and the husband that Jennifer wants him to be," People editor Janine Rubenstein said, as per CBS New York. "They are hopeful that they can reconcile."
Affleck was allegedly responsible for the breakdown of their marriage after cheating allegations cropped up. The couple, however, has been going to marriage counseling since their separation. Affleck and Garner were married in 2005.
The problems in their marriage got worse after Sam was born, according to Us Weekly. Despite their differences, however, the actor wanted to preserve his family life with his wife and children and have credited Garner for being an amazing mother who made co-parenting easy for him.
