Police discovered a man and two teens shot to death at a luxury condominium complex in St. Charles. The shooting took place on Friday.
Police discovered the bodies at 5:12 p.m. on Friday after they received a 911 call from someone inside the condominium located at 400 block of S. First Street where the crime happened. The person who called reported there were gunshots heard in the area, as per ABC 7.
There was no information available regarding the person who contacted authorities. It was also not stated what he or she was doing at the time of the crime or why he or she was not injured in the shooting. The person who called the cops also said there were four people inside.
According to Deputy Police Chief David Kintz, the shooting also left one more person injured aside from the three people killed. The fourth person, who is an adult female, was at the Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva but her condition was not revealed, as well as their relationships to each, Chicago Tribune reported.
Kintz added they are set to get a search warrant in order to deploy evidence technicians at the crime scene to collect evidence. He said, "This is a very difficult scene for the first responders to work with. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family members who are left to deal with this tragic situation."
Meanwhile, reports said social workers were also involved in the investigation but prior domestic incidents in the condominium were not yet available, However, police believed it is a domestic-related crime but no suspects or persons of interests have been named.
Other people said they also heard gunshots but the details of their statements were not made available to the public. But a resident in the luxury condominium said the shooting is uncharacteristic for St. Charles.
