Although it is a given that Paul McCartney is a proud member of the phenomenal band The Beatles, McCartney is even more proud as a dad. Her daughter, a renowned photographer, Mary McCartney has been honored for taking the official photograph in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's longest reign as a monarch in the history of Great Britain.
Mary McCartney, Sir Paul McCartney's eldest child to his first wife, a well-known photographer herself, Linda Eastman McCartney, was asked to take the official photograph for the commemmoration of Queen Elizabeth II's reign milestone, Liverpool News wrote.
In a report by Express UK News, Sir Paul McCartney took to Twitter his proud dad moment and tweeted, "Very proud of @maryamccartney What a way for me to celebrate the Queen's achievement. God bless us all #longestreign."
The photo that Mary McCartney took, as seen in Liverpool News, shows Queen Elizabeth II in Buckingham Palace seated in her private audience room desk holding some important papers from her official red box. The contents of this red case are mostly important documents sent to her by government ministers, representatives, and other significant people across the Commonwealth and her Realms in United Kingdom. During her reign, The Queen, already at 89 years old, has personally met the 12 Prime Ministers that have also rendered service upon her reign along with other influential figures which includes no less than US Pres. Barack Obama.
Liverpool News added that the said photo by McCartney was released on September 9, 2015 at exactly 5:30 P.M. when Queen Elizabeth II will claim her new title as the longest reigning monarch in British history. She will surpass the record-high reign of Queen Victoria which is at 63 years and 217 days on the throne. The Queen's milestone will be celebrated during the official opening of the Borders Railway at Tweedbank in Scotland on the said date.
Despite the great achievements and milestones The Queen has reached in her reign, Express UK News notes that The Queen "remained modest". During their interview, The Queen shared to Express UK News during the Borders Railway at Tweedbank official opening that the achievement was "not one to which I have ever aspired. Inevitably a long life can pass by many milestones. My own is no exception." Yet, she added, "But I thank you all and the many others at home and overseas for your touching messages of great kindness."
