Anne Hathaway Shares One Thing She Regrets Doing With Her Son: 'I Wish I Haven't Done It'

Sometimes, mom has got to learn the wrong way to get it right next time. This holds true for "Les Miserables" star, Anne Hathaway, as she recently admitted felling regretful for finally sharing her son's photo.

For over a year, the 34-year-old actress kept her son's life, Jonathan, under the wraps as much as she could. But when she had the honor of speaking for United Nations Global Global Goodwill last month, the proud mom could not contain her emotions and did the inevitable: share a glimpse of his son to the curious, often highly-intruding, netizens of social media.

The first-time mom recently sat down with Jezebel and said that it felt terrible, she thought of taking back what she did. "I had never posted a photo of my son, and decided to post a shot of the back of his head," the prolific actress recounted. "I wish I [haven't] done it."

To be fair, Jonathan's secret charming face was not seen in the photo uploaded on Instagram. Clad in cute lion print pajamas, Hathaway's first-born was seen watching her mom make a speech about paid parental leave.

The "Love and Other Drugs" star added that her recent "mistake" seemed like a betrayal and it felt like she "broke a seal in inviting people to [her] life." From then on, she vowed to be more cautious of her social media activities.

"And now, because of the time we live in, I think words and pictures are carrying a much greater weight. Or, much less depending on how you engage with it," the actress, who shares son with Adam Shulman, justified.

A growing number of Hollywood stars keep their children off the limelight for protective reasons. Like Hathaway, it took a while for "Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively to show her two children to the public.

It was only last December when her children with Ryan Reynolds, James, 2 and her seven-month-old second daughter whose name is yet to be shared, made their first public appearance. The pair debuted the girls during the "Deadpool" star's induction to Hollywood Walk of Fame, per E! Online.
