Online teaching started as a personal use

A former kindergarten teacher and current preschool assistant, Jessen is providing parents and children a sense of normalcy to help fill the gap during an unprecedented and challenging time. She told CBS affiliate WIFR that it just started with wanting to do online teaching for her and her friends, and it has snowballed out of control, which is good.

She added to GMA that it is a win-win situation because it is something that the kids are looking forward to every day.

Jessen covers basic kindergarten lessons

Jessen includes the alphabet, numbers, days of the week, and months of the year through her morning meetings. She would kick off the lessons by playing the guitar and singing, and she would end them by reading a book.

She also said that they would get up, get dressed, and then go to class. It would be the springboard for the rest of the day.

Mothers applauding Jessen's online teaching
