Proud dad shares 12-year-old son's invention that promotes social distancing

A proud dad, Kyle Harrison, shared on Twitter his son's invention. The small machine that 12-year-old Keashon created would like to promote social distancing.

Since uploading the video a few days ago, it has already gained more than 2 million views.

Kyle has also set up a GoFundMe page for his son to support his studies.

S.A.M. (Social Awareness Machine)

In the video that Kyle posted on Twitter, Keashon explained how the S.A.M. or Social Awareness Machine works.

Keashon said that the machine beeps when something within six feet is sensed by it. The built-in sensor system works just fine when Keashon did a demo to his father.

The entire machine was built from scratch by the 12-year-old boy.

The machine aims to make sure that people will keep the prescribed social distancing when in a public place.

The proud father

Kyle shared that seeing his son come up with such a project made him a proud father.

As a father, Kyle has always been proud of his son's achievement. He shared that since his grade school days, Keashon has been eyeing to become an entrepreneur. Kyle said, "His goals in life are to develop virtual reality simulators that can replace physical school, video games & a lot of other things that interest him he is an entrepreneur and a visionary."

That is why Kyle wanted to send Keashon to a private high school. This goal brought Kyle to put up a GoFundMe campaign for his son's education.

GoFundMe Campaign

The initial goal of the campaign was to be able to raise at least the fees for Keashon's education which was $3,800. However, after only a few days, they were able to gather the amount, and support has been pouring from everyone who has seen Keashon's video.

As of writing, the campaign already got more than 11,000 US dollars.

Keashon is very thankful for all the support that he has been receiving and the kind words of the people about his social distancing machine.

The support for the young boy's invention

People on Twitter and GoFundMe have been expressing their support for Keashon.

Some say that the 12-year-old boy has a bright future ahead of him.

Others say that he should go get a patent for the social distancing machine already.

Other Twitter users, however, shared some of their ideas on how to improve the machine.
