A post about an OB-GYN had gone viral after he delivered both mom and her daughter's baby 25 years apart. On March 23, 1995, Dr. Bryan Cox, a Texas doctor, delivered Isabel Luna's daughter. On July 26, he also delivered Luna's daughter, Lauren Cortez's, baby boy.
Not a coincidence
This happening was not a coincidence. Speech pathologist, Cortez, went to her mom's OB-GYN when she learned that she is pregnant. She told TODAY Parents that her mom has always talked to her about the caring doctor. She said that Dr. Cox builds a strong connection with patients to make them feel like they are just hanging around a friend.
Cortez told Jam Press that she found her mom's words to be true. Dr. Cox has shown interest in their lifestyle and family rather than focusing on the baby alone. He connects with the family, so Cortez knew that she wanted him to bring her son to this world.

Cortez went into two hours of labor to deliver her baby with a full mask over her face. She said it has made her first-time giving birth experience very interesting. Her delivery was very smooth, but because everyone had to wear masks the entire hospital stay, it is something she will never forget.
At six hours and nine minutes in the evening, Cortez gave birth to her son, Logan. The healthy and happy little bundle of joy weighed six pounds and one ounce.

A side-by-side photo that went viral
Cortez posted a side-by-side photo of her and her mom after giving birth on Twitter. It went viral and has garnered more than 767,000 likes. She revealed that later she found out that Dr. Cox has done it to generations of families before. She believes it says a lot about the doctor and how passionate he is about his job.

The dad to Avery, 16, admitted that he "chronically runs behind" because he loves chatting with his patients. He would start talking and sharing clips and photos with them.

The doctor treats his patients very special.
The 63-year-old doctor tries to make his patients feel extra special. He gives all his patients robes sewn by his mother and grandmother instead of paper gowns. He would also give his patients a special bunny onesie for her child during a postpartum checkup. The OB-GYN would indicate that the onesie is "A Dr. Cox Collectible."
Even after practicing for more than 33 years, Dr. Cox says he will never get tired of going to work. He said that it is one of the few fields where one gets soaked up with happiness. He also said that delivering Cortez's son is one example.
