New York Man Stops Baby Snatcher, Incident Caught on Video

A New York man stopped a baby snatcher. Brian Kemsley was at Madison Square Park with his girlfriend when the incident happened. Bystanders had recorded the New York guy's bravery and shared the video online.

The police took the baby snatcher into custody.

The incident

While the New York guy was walking at the Fifth Avenue side of Madison Square Park, they heard a commotion nearby. Kemsley saw that a man was trying to rip a stroller and reach for the baby in it.

The mom was holding another baby and was screaming frantically to stop the baby snatcher.

Some bystanders tried to stop the man but failed. That is when Kemsley decided to help the mom.


New York guy used martial arts skills.

When Kemsley saw that the mom and her children needed help, he stepped in. He said in an interview with PIX11, "It's not a matter of stepping in. It's a matter of duty, when you see a woman and her child screaming."

The New York guy shared in his Instagram account that he trained in jujitsu. Although he did not enjoy training, Kemsley shared that he respects this form of martial arts. He said, "I don't think training is particularly fun, but I have a lot of respect for it as it is absolutely essential in a street fight and self defense."


The baby snatcher was arrested

Kemsley was able to pin down the baby snatcher. He had to wait for 15 minutes before the park security attended to the situation. After 15 more minutes, the police arrived and arrested the guy trying to take the baby in the stroller.

Kemsley shared, "Cops took 30 minutes to show up. I had to hold him down for over 15 minutes before park security even came around to cuff him."

When Kemsley shared a photo of him pinning down the baby snatcher, some netizens thought that the New York guy was brave. One Instagram user even said, "That is awesome. Thank you for being there !! And I am definitely putting my child back in martial arts training!"
