Sisters give birth on the same day in adjoining hospital rooms. The duo could not believe that they welcomed their sons beside each other.

On December 14 morning, Brittany Schille was scheduled for an induction at M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital, located at Burnsville, Minnesota. She was in the hospital for less than three hours when she heard a familiar voice.

Her sister, Ashley Carruth, was moving into the room next door to hers. The second sister had also gone into labor, and the siblings could not believe their luck.

According to TODAY Parents, Carruth, 29, said they started bawling after looking at each other. She explained that she had prepared herself for nine months because she thought she would give birth without her 30-year-old sister.

She thought COVID-19 would prevent the duo from welcoming their babies apart. But when Carruth learned that her sister was right there beside her, she felt comforted. Apart from that, it also felt surreal for her to be giving birth on the same day with her sister.

Becoming moms together

Preschool teacher, Schille, shared that when she and her sister were little, they had always wanted to become mothers. She said that they would act like real moms to their baby dolls. The older sister said that she and Carruth had wanted to be moms together and were glad that it happened in real life.

The sisters believe that their father must have been the mastermind for all the exciting turn of events in their lives. In 2016, Paul Wayne Lemke, the sister's dad, died from cancer. The duo said that family was everything for their father.

Thankful to God and their late dad

Schille believes that their dad had made the sisters give birth on the same day and at the same hospital. She also noted that they knew their dad was looking down at them and smiling. She also said that their dad knew they needed each other.

Schille also explained that while others may think that it is only just a "crazy coincidence," the siblings believe that it was God and their dad that allowed it to happen.

Carruth named her newborn son Cassius John, while Schille called her baby boy Zander Paul, whom she named after her late father. Carruth and her husband, John, also shared an older daughter, Eden, 3.

Schille told TODAY Parents that she has been seeking her younger sister's help because she knows that Carruth knows better because it is her second baby already. She said that because Carruth has been through everything before, she has been calling her with questions.

She also shared that they will be texting and talking as they feed their little ones in the middle of the night.
