Dad Receives Good News: Daughter Is Cancer-Free [Viral Video]

A North Carolina dad receives the good news that his daughter is cancer-free.

The father, Sheriff Barry Glosson, received the news as Valentine's day gift from his daughter, Victoria Glosson.

The entire revelation of Victoria's recovery was captured on video by Victoria herself. She asked her dad to guess what she was saying while he has loud music playing through his earphones.

The now-viral video has been viewed thousands of times, and people enjoy the wholesome father and daughter encounter.

The daughter is cancer-free.

Victoria was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma while she was in college. While studying, the daughter had to undergo treatment. For a year and a half, Victoria battled cancer.

In an interview, she shared how determined she was to go through that phase of her life, even if it was sometimes excruciating. She said, "I had to get Neulasta shots after chemotherapy to keep my white blood cell counts up. Those shots hurt, and it was like every bit of your bones were breaking."

It was just recently that the daughter is cancer-free. When she learned about this, she was shocked and ecstatic. It was a long journey for the daughter, and reaching that point was incredible for her.

Along with that, she received her nursing degree and is now excited to work at the frontlines, fighting COVID-19. She is set to work at the emergency department of a hospital in Greensboro.

In the viral video, Sheriff Glosson is seen with earphones. Then the daughter is trying to tell him that she is already cancer-free.

It took the dad some time to realize what his daughter was saying.

Victoria even had to repeat the message several times.

At first, the dad said, "I'm cancer-free," nonchalantly. Then he asked, "Did you have a PET scan?"

Even before his daughter was able to answer, he started jumping with joy. He immediately hugged his wife.

Indeed, it was a joyous moment for the family.

A lot of netizens were celebrating with the family some of them sent their congratulations to the daughter. Others were admiring the kind of relationship the father and daughter have.

Since Victoria was diagnosed with cancer, her father has been very supportive.

It was Sheriff Glosson who would drive his daughter to her clinical during college.

In an interview, the North Carolina dad said, "I saw my daughter go through the toughest battle of her life... It was so scary to watch my daughter live this nightmare."

He added that the joy he feels is indescribable.
