A dad from British Columbia recently uploaded a video of his toddler daughter skiing. Although the skiing part is already adorable, what makes it more remarkable is that the dad captures the toddler daughter's pep talks while skiing.

Dad Erich Leidums decided to mic up his daughter while skiing.

Those who saw the video adored not only the cute pep talks of the little girl but also the skiing skills that she has.

Erich and his wife, Courtney, shared with CNN the reason why they teach their kids skiing. The couple has three children, including the cute toddler, Adia.

The toddler daughter's siblings are August, seven years old, and Luca, five years old.

Deciding to mic up his toddler daughter

Before dad captures the toddler daughter's pep talks while learning how to ski, Erich observed that Adia's older brothers were narrating their ski adventure when they were younger.

He shared in an interview with CNN, "Our boys, they were self-narrating. Sometimes they were talking about what they were doing through the snow. And I was just like, 'Man, I got to get a mic on our youngest here and see if we can start capturing her narrations."

In the video that Erich uploaded on YouTube, Erich is seen enjoying skiing. At the same time, she talks to herself like doing some pep talks.

During one of the days when she was skiing, she animately shared, "I'm making my lines."

While going over the mountain portion with trees, the young girl describes her movements, "I love going around that root." She also says, "Going over you, ice! Going around you ice."

Even cute with the videos that the dad shared is that she says "Hi!" to all the living and non-living creatures she meets along the way. She said, "Hi, one-eyed monster!" and "Hi, kitty cat!"

Parenting and skiing

The couple does not just use skiing as a leisure time but also to teach their children confidence and hard work.

All of their kids enjoy skiing. In the case of their toddler, Adia, she started when she was only 12 months old.

At first, the mom, Courtney, also had hesitations about teaching their little girl how to ski. She said, "When she started going on the boxes, catching a little bit of air, I definitely felt a little bit of like, 'Can she do this?'"

However, Courtney says they consider this as a way to teach their children. She said, "Even though we feel that inside of us, that a little bit of nervousness, it is really our reaction that will impact the child."

The mom added, "Our goal is to raise confident, caring, self-aware children. And I think that comes with taking risks and allowing them to take risks because all you want for your kids as adults is to be as confident as they are."
