Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian are getting ready to expand their family. According to US Weekly, the couple made their intentions known during the latest trailer for Hulu's "The Kardashians," released on Monday, March 14.
In the voiceover of that footage, the 42-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum said, "Travis and I want to have a baby." That news will thrill fans of the duo, who got engaged in October of last year after the Blink-182 drummer proposed in Montecito, California.
The clip from their upcoming reality show featured the rocker and Kardashian having an appointment with their doctor. The Posh creator can be heard instructing the camera crew to turn the mics off after the couple was told to put the sample in a cup. Kardashian joked that they don't get the audio for that.
Kardashian and Barker teased baby plans before
According to People magazine, this is not the first time Barker and Kardashian teased the public about having a baby together. Last October, Kardashian shared on Instagram a photo from her Halloween weekend with Barker. The reality star dressed up as Patricia Arquette's character, Alabama, in the classic 1993 film, "True Romance."
Barker, who dressed as Christian Slater's character, opposite Kardashian, hinted at the idea of expanding his brood with his fiancée, writing in the comment section, "Our sons name would be Elvis." Though the drummer's comment was a reference to a scene in the movie where the ghost of Elvis visited Clarence, a source told the magazine that Kardashian would love to have a child with Barker.
Those baby plans have been confirmed with the release of the trailer. The former E! star revealed during a segment at the Ellen DeGeneres Show in March 2021 that she froze her eggs in 2018.
Kardashian wants to protect the relationship with Barker
Kardashian explained her thought process behind that decision, saying she got talked into it. Kardashian said that she would do it one more time since everyone else was doing it. Kardashian added that she asked herself if she was supposed to get pregnant on her own at 41 before deciding to freeze her eggs.
If they are successful in having a baby together, this will be the seventh child for the pair. Barker is already a father to his son Landon, 18 years old, and daughter Alabama, who is 16. He also has a 22-year-old stepdaughter named Atiana with his former wife, Shanna Moakler. On the other hand, Kardashian is the mom of three kids: 11-year-old Mason, nine-year-old Penelope, and Reign, six years old.
Kardashian recently spoke to Variety and told the magazine that she considers her relationship with Barker sacred and that their romance won't be the main storyline in the family's new reality series.
