New details have emerged regarding the gruesome murder of married mom Orsolya Gaal with law enforcement sources telling the New York Post that she sat alone at a Queens bar for 40 minutes on the day she was killed.
Sources said that Gaal was waiting for someone in the bar. She then went home hours later, where she was fatally stabbed and stuffed in a duffel bag. According to police sources and a neighbor, the 51-year-old mom of two had spent time in her Forest Hills backyard on Friday afternoon before heading out with friends later in the evening to watch a show at Lincoln Center.
When she went back to Queens, Gaal sat alone in a neighborhood bar before returning to her well-kept home at Juno Street, according to sources. It is still unclear if the slain mother had ever met up with the person she appeared to have been waiting for in the bar.
No signs of break-in at the home of Gaal
Sources added that investigators now believe that Gaal's killer entered the family's home and killed her on the first floor before taking her dead body to the basement. Law enforcement sources also said that police believe that the killer knew Gaal as there were no signs of a break-in at the victim's home. They also noted that the ferocity of the attack on Gaal indicates that the anger against the victim was extremely personal.
The suspect's rage was evident in the way he brutally murdered Gaal. The Daily Mail reported that the victim was stabbed 60 times in her neck, torso, and left arm. Gaal's corpse was then stuffed in a black Bauer hockey duffle bag similar to the one used by one of her children. The pouch was then dragged outside before being dumped in a spot less than a half-mile from Gaal's home, according to authorities.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide, saying that Gaal, found inside the duffle bag just after 8 a.m. on Saturday, died from sharp force wounds to her neck. Law enforcement sources also said that Gaal was found with possible defensive cuts on her hands and inside her fingers.

Orsolya Gaal's lover, the main focus of police investigation
So who killed Orsolya Gaal? According to a New York Daily News report, the police investigation is now focusing on a man they believe Gaal had a romantic relationship with. Sources said that the NYPD had stopped short of identifying the man as a suspect in Gaal's murder as they do not have enough evidence against him.
That includes whether the alleged lover was the one seen on video dragging Gaal's body away in a duffle bag from her Forest Hills home. Law enforcement sources also said that Gaal was in contact with three men on the night before her tragic death.
