Former EastEnders star Brooke Kinsella gave birth to her second child. It was a bittersweet moment for the actress as her baby boy was born on the same day her brother was killed 15 years ago.
Kinsella revealed on her Instagram account that she and her husband, Simon Boardley, named their second baby "Ben Ross Boardley" in honor of her late brother.
"A perfect miracle given to us on a day when so much was taken away. Named after the very best of men. He will do them so proud, I know it already," the 38-year-old wrote on her post, wherein she also shared a photo of her new baby wrapped in a blanket.
Kinsella does not hide the fact that she had wanted more children after the birth of her daughter, Elsie, her first child.
Kinsella and her husband want a big family
She noted that she came from a big family and was close to her siblings. She added that having someone to go through life with is really important, and she would love to be able to give that to Elsie, as there's plenty of room in their home for another little one.
"We're not getting any younger, so obviously we need to think about these things, but I'm not in a rush," Kinsella told OK! Magazine.
Brooke had revealed her second pregnancy exclusively to OK! 18 months after they welcomed their first daughter.

If there's one thing blighting her happiness, it is that her children will never be able to meet her younger brother, Ben.
Ben Kinsella was stabbed in 2008 by a gang member when he was only 16 years old. He was killed in Islington, north London, as he celebrated finishing his General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE). His death led to stricter sentences for knife crimes. Suspects for the crime were arrested in 2009.
In 2018, Kinsella assisted the team on EastEnders, doing research for a knife crime storyline wherein the character Shakil Kazemi (Shaheen Jafargholi) gets stabbed to death by a gang member.
Remembering Ben
Ben went to a local pub to celebrate the end of his GCSE with his friends. On their way home, he and his friends noticed three older teenagers following them. They got frightened and decided to run home, but they got chased. Later, it was revealed that there was an altercation in the club earlier that evening.
Following his death, Brooke and her family set up The Ben Kinsella Trust, which funds anti-knife campaigns across the country. Kinsella's efforts in honoring her brother were rewarded as she was honored with the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
