Miracle baby Lyra Antarctica is now a big sister
The couple dubbed their first child a miracle baby owing to their numerous fertility struggles at the time. Cherry got pregnant with their first child during a trip to Antarctica before progressing with the planned IVF treatment. The pair decided to use Antarctica as Lyra's middle name to pay tribute to the unique circumstances of how she came to life.
The couple first met at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham before Cherry went to the United States to study at Duke University in North Carolina. After enduring a long-distance relationship, Cherry moved back to the United Kingdom in 2016 so that she could spend more time with Ed. The duo ultimately tied the knot in February 2019, holding an intimate wedding ceremony joined by close family and friends.
Ed used the Tour Edition of his album Equals to write a track about becoming a dad for the first time to Lyra Antarctica, who was born in August 2020, according to Metro.
