Authorities said a family reported that a 17-year-old went missing and a vehicle from their driveway. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a girl slain in her bed, per Inside Edition.

Police discovered that Stephen Jarrod Davis II severely stabbed his sister, Anay Jannah Abdul, on October 3, 2020, and then quickly fled from the scene. He was later apprehended in Ohio. According to court documents obtained by the Capital Gazette, cops found a note the teenager had purposedly left behind, which stated that he hated his family and wanted to kill all family members but believed one was enough to cause the family enough damage.

Cell phone records were able to track down Davis in Ohio, where he was apprehended later that day. The Capital Gazette reported that Davis was charged with first-degree murder, child abuse resulting in the death of a kid below 13, and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle in a Maryland court.

Davis, now 19, pleaded guilty only to the murder charge.

Justice for 14-year-old son

Another teen was severely shot to death on Sunday in Killeen. He identified Davarian Lawrence as his family confirmed his identity. The Killeen Police Department found the young man with a gunshot wound on Evergreen drive and authorities later pronounced him dead at the scene approximately an hour later around 7:15 a.m.

Margo Hillard, the victim's mother, told the news outlet that she cannot speak as of the moment as her mind is everywhere right now as she believes her son doesn't deserve that. The victim was known as DJ to his family and friends and loved to play basketball and wanted to become a professional rapper one day; Latiah Mackey, the younger sister, said that DJ was a good brother and was nice being with him.

Lawrence moved to Killeen from the town of Lovington, New Mexico, four years ago. Christie Howard, his aunt, told the outlet that they grew closer once he moved to Killeen. Adding that she felt nothing but madness to the shooting as his nephew was only 14 and wasn't even here that long.

The victim leaves behind his two-month-old son. According to KWTZ, five out of the 16 murders in Killeen are 18 years or younger. DJ's mom said that she only wants justice for her son. The reason behind the shooting was still not known.

Family still cannot believe what happened

Another family mourns for their son's loss after he was shot and killed Tuesday night in Waterbury, leaving the entire family searching for answers. Authorities stated that Wisconsin Resto-Rodriquez was fatally shot at around 6:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Bishop Street and was immediately taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's family was visibly shaken by the young man's death. Tanya Resto-Falcon, Wisconsin's aunt, said that what happened was like a nightmare that the family cannot wake up from as the incident was permanent and it's the reality. "We don't have him anymore." A person who lives in the neighborhood told the news outlet she heard multiple gunshots. Resto-Falcon added that he went out to get a soda so he went to the corner, which is only a block away. It happened then but he wasn't even gone for 20 minutes.

Authorities stated that they are following up on every lead in the case and are exploring all options. The aunt added that the incident was not fair as it was difficult for the family. The family told News8 that something needs to be done.
