America's talk show host is keeping her Christmas family traditions alive. Kelly Ripa, with husband Mark Consuelos and daughter Lola, 21, stepped out on "Christmas Eve-Eve" for the performance of one of the "most complex theatrical, staged ballets" in the New York City Ballet's George Balanchine's The Nutcracker in Lincoln Center.

With 90 dancers, 62 musicians, 40 stagehands, and more than 125 children, the magical ballet performances, which give a unique spark to everyone's holiday season, is their annual go-to and is their "favorite holiday tradition," according to the 52-year-old Live with Kelly and Ryan host. Two alternating casts from the School of American Ballet join forces to make each performance as magical as possible.

Other holiday traditions

Another family holiday tradition Ripa made sure to attend this year is decorating their Christmas tree with her 33-year-old ornament collection.

Giving the public a sneak peek of her "showstopper" tree, she posted a photo on it on Instagram and a video on the Instagram story. Family heirlooms were featured.

Among the shimmery lights were precious ornaments featuring the photos of the three children and other "sentimental mementos," like a margarita ornament and one bearing the flag of Union Jack, making the Christmas tree very personal and meaningful for the family.

Ripa also hasn't tired of creating family holiday cards. She took to Instagram and shared with the public the family's holiday cards featuring the family but mostly of the children from 2003 to 2022. From the kids' matching white tanks and jeans in what seems to be Joaquin's first family photoshoot to classic, clean holiday sweaters to wearing cowboy hats to a Disney holiday photo with Mickey Mouse to a carousel of images that are supposed to be a formal shot turned comedy; each holiday card showed the family smiling and having fun together.

Moreover, on Christmas Eve Saturday, the host shared an obligatory family photo in front of the Christmas Tree as part of their favorite holiday traditions. In the photo were the complete family - Ripa, her husband, Lola, two sons, Michael, 25, and Joaquin, and their two dogs.

She then captioned it with, "Merry Christmas ♥️ the Consuelos family," and shared that the dogs lasted for one photo, while the kids lasted for 2.

Thanksgiving

Before Christmas, the family tradition of having dinner as a complete family continues on Thanksgiving.

The three children came home for Thanksgiving and were welcomed by the empty nesters. The entire family was joined by friends and had a blast posing for photos together all through the night, People reported.

Moreover, not only did the children pose for plenty of family photos, which made their mother's heart flutter, but they also had fun joking around together.

Posing dramatically with her daughter and both wearing rubber gloves, the host joked that they were the "clean-up crew."
