Authorities are in hunt for, Audrii Cunningham, an 11-year-old Texan girl who went missing on the morning of February 15. A person of interest in the incident has been seized, according to the police.
11-Year-Old Girl Was Last Seen on the Texas Bus Stop
Audrii Cunningham was last noticed on the morning of February 15 near her father's home in Livingston, Texas, around 7 a.m., the typical time she heads to her school bus stop as per neighbors. However, she did not get on the bus, prompting concern from her father and family.
Lieutenant Craig Cummings, spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety, declared, "We are treating this as a criminal investigation." An Amber Alert was issued on February 15 and is still ongoing.
The authorities are concentrating on a person of interest, Don Steven McDougal, a friend of Audrii's father from Livingston, Texas. He lives in a camper near the house where Audrii lives.
McDougal was seized on an unrelated aggravated assault charge and is currently in watch. He has a serious criminal history, including alluring a minor in 2008. His 2003 blue Chevy Suburban is being sought in connection to Audrii's disappearance, with a $7,000 reward offered for information leading to a capture.
Lt. Cummings urged anyone who saw McDougal's vehicle on Thursday or Friday to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
Law enforcement agencies and volunteers are conducting a search in the Livingston area, having discovered Audrii's backpack near Lake Livingston Dam. Additional items were found, but details are undisclosed as part of the ongoing investigation.
Audrii is defined as 4-foot-1 with blond hair, blue eyes, and weighing about 75 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie with white lettering, a camouflage backpack, black pants, and black high-top tennis shoes.
Audrii's mother, Cassie Matthews, is badly asking for information to bring her daughter home. Despite not confirming if Audrii was last seen with McDougal, officials acknowledge multiple persons of interest and undisclosed information.
